Purpose of ICWEL Conference

I am pleased to inform you that we are organizing International conference and Training workshop on the Topic “Women Empowerment and Leadership” : “ Know Your potential : Your potential is limitless.”on 25th – 30 th Nov., 2018 to solemnize Golden Jubilee Year.

The conference is intended to impart knowledge to the participants about the recent trends, developments and strategies related to women leadership necessary to empower women as women are key change agents in civil society and the political arena. It will give the participants an idea about the research oppurtunities available in this field. We hope that your gracious presence and enthusiastic participation will make the event a grand success.

Swami Vivekananda, one of the greatest sons of India, quoted that, “There is no chance for the welfare of the world unless the condition of women is improved, It is not possible for a bird to fly on only one wing.

Women empowerment is a global issue, which has gained momentum in recent decades as the development of society or a nation depends on the social as well as economic well being of women. Women empowerment and having more women in leadership position is the area that calls for attention by all nations in the world. Having ample empowered women leaders at all levels demands empowering and supporting them to succeed in all walks of their life. Empowering women to participate fully in economic life across all sectors is essential to build stronger economies and achieve internationally agreed goals of development. It will definitely improve the quality of life for women, men, families and communities. Empowering girls and women is a means to build sustainable socio-economic development powerful nationally. Hence, empowering women and putting more women on leadership positions is something crucial to have successful development and prosperous future we aspire to see.

Today, world leaders, experts and scholars are underlying the importance of empowering women and the need for critical endeavor. In this context Dhote Bandhu Science College, Maharashtra in association with GES Social Forum, India has planned to organize an International conference and Training workshop on Women Empowerment and Leadership : “ Know Your potential : Your potential is limitless.”on 25th – 30 th Nov., 2018 to solemnize Golden Jubilee Year.

OBJECTIVES:

• To “unveil” the agenda of women’s empowerment in global development, with an interdisciplinary group of experts who will discuss contemporary challenges and opportunities for research, policy and practice, as well as examine some of the recent evidences on empowerment initiatives.
• To bring together, researchers, service providers, government agencies, policy makers/ developers & organizations and focus on various challenges that confront scholars and policy makers seeking to construct policies and assess their impact on women safety.
• To increase confidence of girls, shift their understanding and change gender expectations and interactions and transform the colossal women force into an effective human resource.
• To create a platform for open and frank discussion for a greater degree of self-confidence and sense of independence among women.
• To promote awareness on women safety and help the participants to learn how to defend themselves in the hour of need.
• To enable women to realize their full identity and powers in all spheres of life.
