BRIEF OF THE DEPARTMENT

Skill based education is a unique initiatives by the Government of India that aims to offer Indian youth a meaningful, industry relevant, skill based vocational training. It’s a great pleasure for us to introduce our organization with the vision of uplifting society by contributing in quality skill development by adopting innovative ideas in education and training under National Skill Qualification Framework (NSQF).

Identifying the need of today’s scenario and to feel the gap between demand and supply of workforce our college got authorized and approved by UGC, New Delhi to run different skill based and job oriented degree courses with specific Job Roles and Qualification Packs (QPs) as per the National Occupational Standards (NOS) under B. Voc programme from the academic session 2014 – 15.

Objectives:

  1. To provide skill based education to students currently pursuing higher education but actually interested in entering the workforce at the earliest opportunity.
  2. To provide employable and certifiable skills with necessary general education to Senior Secondary School pass-outs not willing to join existing higher education system.
  3. To provide primarily jobs to:
  • First time job entrants
  • Class 12 or above drop-outs/passed
  • Unemployed youths between age group 18 – 35
  1. To encourage skill development for youth by providing
  • Training to candidate in unorganized sector
  • Assessment of trainers by govt. recognized sector skill councils

Salient Features of Skill Development Programme:

  • Skill Based and Job Oriented Vocational curriculum.
  • Designed curriculum as per the norms of NSQF.
  • Signed MoU with different Partner Industries for curriculum development, Internship-Training, Guest faculties, Assessment, Evaluation and Certification of learners.
  • Training of students at Industry Place.
  • Different Boards for effective governance and monitoring of the course curriculum which comprises the representatives from partner industries, sector skill council, affiliating universities, government and local bodies
