INNOVATION AND INCUBATION CELL

Institute’s Innovation Cell (IIC) – DBSc

Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) Govt. of India has established MHRD Innovation Cell (MIC) to systematically foster the culture of Innovation amongst all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). Primarily IIC’s role is to engage large number of faculty, students and staff in various innovation and entrepreneurship related activities such as ideation, problem solving, Proof of concept development, Design thinking, IPR, Project handling and management at Pre-incubation/Incubation stage, etc., so that innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem gets established and stabilized in HEIs.

Dhote Bandhu Science College has an Institution Innovation Council (IIC) which provides an inspiring ecosystem and supports creativity and innovation in students. The college supports various research activities and skill-based projects by providing knowledge and latest technologies and infrastructure required in various projects. The college organizes programmes such as seminars, workshops, exhibitions, research training educational fests, job meets etc. every academic year.

  • Vision / Mission of IIC established at the Institute:

To encourage and inspire students and faculty members by providing them required infrastructure to innovate and develop their ideas with industrial standards and support from Government, industry and reputed academic institutions around the world and help them to realize their potentials

  • Journey of IIC established at the Institute:

IIC DBSC has established in 2018-19. Since then we have conducted various MIC driven and self-driven activities. Number of students and faculty members are involved in these activities. Many students from out institute also participated in outside Hackathons.

  • Diversified representation in the IIC established at the institute from industry, Interdisciplinary & Departments/ Units etc.

IIC DBSC has the members of diversified background.  In this, we have given representation to all the stakeholders of Educational institutes like members are included from faculties, students, alumni, industry persons, Patent experts, Nationalize banks, and Incubation centers.

Incubation Cell

The Incubation centre of Dhote Bandhu Science College, Gondia was started functioning in 2018 with a vision to provide the students of the college with comprehensive support in order to nurture and bring forth their creativity and scintillating ideas in the field of science. The center includes faculty and students from all departments of this college who work together to cultivate and implement their ideas.
